The Haxnicks Kitchen Garden Cloche is the most sturdy and best looking of the cloches I use on my allotment. It is made from durable ridged perspex type UV resistant plastic, and the frame is made from galvanised coated steel, meaning that it lasts longer than the polythene types of Cloche. Its construction means that it is easy to move from one location to another, just un-peg it and lift it, and as it is ridged you can move it on your own easily.

Okay, I found it a little difficult to assemble, but with a little help from a fellow allotmenteer to hold the frame while I posted in the plastic cover and we were well away, you do need a spanner (one is included but I used my own and found it easier than fiddling with the included one) to tighten the bolts of the frame, but it is worth the effort, don’t start assembling if you are short of time or already stressed, take your time and it will fit together and look great.

It is 1 Metre long, 45cm wide and 35cm high, ideal for planting our Veg crops early and giving them a head start. I use mine to bring on some early salad crops, lettuce, radishes etc. It has vents on both ends so that you can get some air flow through on those warmer days.
