The Gardman Giant Multi Cloche is as it s name suggests the biggest of the Cloches I use on my allotment. I bought is specifically to cover one of my raised beds where I plant early root veg such as carrots and beetroot. Keeping it covered means that I can plant maybe a month earlier than I would be able to without protection, so I can enjoy those baby carrots earlier in the season.

The cloche is constructed from thick polythene with a metal frame. It has two large zipped windows on either side which have a mesh under them that lets through airflow but does not let in those bugs.

This is a large cloche it is 1.8m long, 1.5m wide and 1 m high, I leave a section through the middle of mine so that I can put my crawler board across and actually get inside, there have been times on a cold windy day that I have sheltered in it for a flask of coffee, not its intended use I am sure but a blessing!

It comes with some pegs, but I have found that you will need to do a little extra to hold it down especially in an un-sheltered windy spot like my allotment. I put a brick on each corner and one in the middle of the long side which, along with the pegs provided, did the trick nicely.
